The Far North Quilt Trail was initiated on the traditional territories of the Dena Peoples of the lower Tanana River - we gratefully acknowledge this in thanks to the original inhabitants that stewarded this land since time immemorial.
Remembering Lenore
painted by
Liz Reeves-Ramos
My Great Grandmother Lenore lived to be 102 and was a master quilter. I never had the patience for the precise detail required of quilting. I knew I wanted to paint a barn quilt in her memory the moment I first saw one a few years ago. I chose a traditional pattern, the Ohio Star and vibrant colors because those are my favorite. - Liz
